Key Responsibilities
- Child Protection: Lead and complete Section 47 child protection enquiries to safeguard children from significant harm.
- Assessment: Undertake comprehensive Child and Family Assessments to identify needs and determine appropriate levels of support.
- Caseload Management: Manage and support caseloads for Children in Need (CIN), children subject to Child Protection Plans (CPP), and Looked After Children (LAC).
- Legal Proceedings: Support families through the Public Law Outline (PLO) process and initiate court proceedings when required to ensure child safety.
Requirements
- To be successful in this role you must have,.
- Social Work England registration and a recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or Degree).
- Frontline Experience: Proven experience in completing child protection enquiries and managing varied caseloads including court work.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal frameworks, including the Children Act and the Public Law Outline.
Benefits & Compensation
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- Hybrid Policy: A hybrid working model is supported, requiring 3 days per week in the Coventry office.
- Duty Week: During your designated duty week (every 5th week), you are expected to be office-based every day to respond to service needs.
