Our Early Intervention program empowers parents and young children through collaborative, research-based strategies that foster growth in all areas of development.

We are seeking a Speech Language Therapist to join our Early Intervention team, working with children ages 0 to 3 years old and their families.

In this role, you’ll serve as the in-house specialist in communication and language development, helping families understand their child’s progress while equipping them with strategies to support ongoing growth.

  • Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Must have current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Utah
  • Credentialing from the State of Utah as an Early Intervention Specialist-2 required within six months of hire
  • Pass a TB test and have an acceptable driving record
  • Use of a personal vehicle with continuous automobile insurance that meets state minimum requirements
  • Help develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that address parent-identified priorities
  • Educate parents on their child’s developmental status and equip them with strategies to support progress
  • Facilitate the parent-child relationship in ways that match individual learning styles and needs
  • Implement individual and group activities at home visits and in the center to help families achieve their child’s developmental goals
  • Conduct ongoing assessments in all areas of development or within specialty areas as needed
  • Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to ensure children receive the most effective care
  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, and tracking sheets
  • Attend Child Study meetings, IFSP reviews, and team consultations to support family and child needs

Key Responsibilities

The therapist will provide speech and language services to children aged 0-3 and their families through home visits and center-based activities. They will also collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and possess a current Utah state license. Additionally, they must obtain Early Intervention Specialist-2 credentialing within six months of hire and maintain a valid driver's license.
