The Nuclear Medicine Technologist applies nuclear medicine imaging techniques and ensures the safe use of radiopharmaceuticals and equipment. Responsibilities include overseeing the handling of radioactive materials, scheduling exams, and administering medications.
An associate degree from an accredited institute is preferred, along with certification from ARRT or NMTCB. A minimum of one year of nuclear medicine experience is preferred, and BLS certification is required.
