The counselor will manage a caseload of up to eight patients, providing addiction, substance abuse, and dual disorder assessment, education, counseling, and therapy in individual and/or group settings. Duties also include maintaining documentation according to standards and participating actively in team meetings and all 12 core functions of substance abuse counseling.
Candidates must possess at least three years of experience in addiction or substance abuse counseling, preferably with residential treatment experience and working with professionals. Education requires a Master’s Degree in a related field with NC SA certification/licensure, or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of SUD counseling experience and NC SA certification.
