Job Description

  • Lead Veterinary Partner & Owner – CityVet Buda (Greater Austin)
  • Location: Buda, TX (Greater Austin)
  • Compensation: $220,000–$300,000+, plus equity ownership
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Build the practice you've always imagined, faster

What would your practice look like if you could design it from day one: the medicine, the team, the culture, the way clients feel when they walk through the door?

CityVet is opening a brand-new clinic in Buda, a fast-growing community just south of Austin that's full of young families, new neighborhoods and pets who need a great veterinarian. The real estate is already secured, so you skip the longest, most uncertain part of opening a practice and get to the part that matters: building your team and caring for patients.

This is a true ownership opportunity. You'll hold equity in the practice you build, and CityVet will be behind you every step of the way.

A head start most new clinics don't get

For most new practices, finding and securing the right location can take many months before any other work begins. In Buda, that step is already done.

  • Location secured: no site search, no lease negotiation and no waiting
  • A faster path to opening day: you can move quickly into design, build-out and hiring
  • Seeing patients sooner: this means earning sooner and building equity sooner

You'll still shape the clinic's design and how it runs. You just get to start well ahead of where most new owners begin.

What You'll Do

Shape the clinic from the start. Work with our team on the clinic's design, equipment, services and opening plans, so the clinic reflects how you want to practice.

Set the medical standard. Define the standards of care and the practice philosophy. You'll have full clinical autonomy, with no quotas and no rigid corporate protocols.

Hire and build your team. Choose the people you'll work beside, with the help of our recruiting team, and create a culture you're proud of.

Become part of the community. Build relationships with Buda families, local rescues and shelters, and grow a client base that's loyal to you.

Lead as an owner. Make the decisions that drive your practice's success, and share directly in the value you create.

True ownership, real equity

This isn't a title with "partner" attached. As Lead Veterinary Partner, you'll own equity in CityVet Buda. That means:

A real stake in what you build. As the practice grows, so does your ownership value.

Long-term wealth. You build equity in a business, not just a paycheck.

An owner's voice. You'll have real authority over the direction of your practice.

Without the usual startup risk. You don't need to finance construction or build back-office systems alone. CityVet brings the capital, infrastructure and experience of opening clinics.

We'll go through the full ownership structure with you openly and early in the conversation.

Support Behind You

  • Starting a practice on your own can mean years of stress outside the exam room. With CityVet, you get a team of experts who've done this before:
  • Real estate and build-out: design and construction management
  • Business operations: HR, payroll, finance, procurement and vendor management
  • Growth: recruiting, marketing and a grand-opening launch plan
  • Technology and legal: IT systems and legal support

Leadership development: business coaching and mentorship from veterinarians who've built their own CityVet practices

You focus on medicine and leadership. We'll help with the rest.
