Job Summary
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Education and Work Experience
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
Licenses/Certifications
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions
- Serves as a department role model and clinical resource.
- Maintains and advances professional knowledge and experience through continual educational opportunities.
- Assists in department operations, as requested by managers.
- Ensures patient, visitor and staff safety. Identifies and reports potential hazards.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to plan, implement, evaluate and revise individualized patient care and discharge plans, based on patient medical record.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
