Chestnut Dental is seeking a Dental Hygienist for our Needham office- with the option to add variety to your day through dental assisting opportunities. Dental hygiene will remain your primary focus, and you’ll maintain your hygienist rate when assisting!
Your primary focus will be providing quality hygiene care, educating patients, and helping them feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. For someone who enjoys different aspects of dentistry, this role also offers the opportunity to assist chairside and collaborate with our dental team in another capacity.

What You'll Do
- Performing prophylaxis, scaling, and periodontal maintenance
- Taking digital radiographs using DEXIS software
- Assessing patients and documenting clinical findings accurately
- Educating patients and families on preventive care and oral hygiene
- Collaborating with doctors and team members to provide exceptional care
- Creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient
- Supporting clinical and operational initiatives as needed
- If interested, incorporate dental assisting responsibilities into your schedule based on qualifications and practice needs.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Dental Hygiene License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Strong communication and a patient focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Availability for one evening a week and one Saturday a month (Paid 45-minute dinner break and evening shift differential)

Physical Requirements
This position requires periods of standing, walking, bending, and sitting, as well as the manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to provide high-quality clinical care.
