Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to work in Avon, Indiana.

Requirements for a Registered Occupational Therapist

• Be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy college
• Display evidence of interest in continued education within the profession and is encouraged to be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Organization (AOTA)
• Must be licensed in the State of Indiana to practice OT
• May be responsible for supervising/training personnel such as COTA
• CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification
• Previous experience in home health or in a health care setting is recommended but not required

Responsibilities for a Registered Occupational Therapist

Follow receipt of a doctor's referral, the therapist is responsible for evaluating the patient within 24 hours of written referral

Recommend programs will be patient specific to diagnosis according to the type/age of patient under program

After evaluating the patient, the therapist is responsible for planning, administering and supervising the COTA in an appropriate treatment plan

Will communicate with the referring physician and member of the rehabilitation team regarding the patient's total treatment program.

Will maintain an accurate daily record of treatments given to patients

PRN.
