About the Role

Occupational Therapist for ACT Team serving older adults with SMI. Monday-Friday schedule. $45 - $47/hour. On-call rotation required.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with other ACT Team staff members, provide evidence-based mental health interventions to individuals who are enrolled in ACT Team services
  • Conduct home and/or institutional visits
  • Administer mental health screening tools
  • Administer the Mini Mental Status Exam

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or similar, or an International Medical Graduate, required.
  • Possession of a New York State professional license; LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, Clinical Psychology, or similar- preferred.
  • At least two years working in a mental health setting  with an older adult population or similar - preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of comorbidities with older adults with SMI.
