Assists in the development and the monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Requirements: Work Experience: One (1) year experience in Diagnostic Imaging in a hospital setting preferred. License/Registration/Certification: Texas certified Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Education and Training: Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist program. Skills: Possesses critical thinking and critical thinking skills. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.

Performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging services for patients of various ages and manages associated patient care needs. Assists in developing department systems and coordinating activities to improve the quality of patient care.

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited radiological technologist program and certification as a Texas MRT through the ARRT. BLS certification is required, and one year of hospital-based diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
