Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)- Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
- Location: Anne Arundel County, Maryland
- Organization: PACE Consulting, LLC
- Position: Contingent upon contract award
PACE Consulting, LLC is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with an active Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license to support a prospective school-based behavioral and mental health services contract serving elementary school students with significant behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs.
This position will work collaboratively with educators, mental health clinicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), administrators, and multidisciplinary school teams.
Responsibilities Include
- Conduct and support Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).
- Develop, revise, implement, and monitor Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Conduct direct observations, assessments, and consultation in classroom and other school settings.
- Model evidence-based behavioral strategies and support development of replacement behaviors.
- Provide required supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and fidelity monitoring for RBTs.
- Monitor behavioral data and intervention implementation.
- Coach teachers, paraeducators, administrators, and related-service personnel.
- Support crisis prevention, de-escalation planning, and post-incident problem-solving.
- Participate in IEP, MTSS, student-support, and other multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
- Collaborate with school and program leadership regarding implementation, documentation, and fidelity.
- Assist school teams in building internal capacity to sustain behavioral supports.
Required Qualifications
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Current, active Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license.
- Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Experience providing school-based behavioral services.
- Experience working with children with significant behavioral needs.
- Experience coaching and supporting educational personnel.
- Ability to provide RBT supervision in accordance with applicable BACB requirements.
Ability to satisfy applicable school-system criminal background, fingerprinting, and clearance requirements prior to assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with high-acuity elementary-school populations, students with and without disabilities, special education teams, MTSS, crisis prevention/de-escalation, and multidisciplinary school teams.
Compensation: Compensation commensurate with experience.
This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
The BCBA will conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavioral intervention plans to support students with significant mental health and behavioral needs. They will also provide supervision to RBTs and coach school staff on implementing evidence-based behavioral strategies.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current BCBA certification and an active Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license. Proven experience in school-based behavioral services and the ability to pass criminal background and fingerprinting clearances are required.
