• Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
• Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule
• Shift: Day shift, weekend rotation required

• Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Conduct therapeutic groups for patients.
• Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family.
• Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries.

Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team.

Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team.

• Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.

Qualifications

Travel Therapist Job Requirements

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or psychology

Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Florida (ex. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required

Experience: at least one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills, adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired
