About the Opportunity
A well-established practice in Gainesville is seeking a Board-Certified Urgent Care or Emergency Physician (preferred) to join its growing team. This is a full-time position offering procedural autonomy, a collaborative work environment, and competitive compensation.
Position Highlights
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (8am – 8pm) Weekends (10am – 4pm)
- Outpatient-focused
- Salary range: $450,000 – $500,000

Core Responsibilities
- Be willing to learn and utilize EMR and tablet/laptop technology at the bedside.
- Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases.
- Promote health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
- Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.
Refer patients to primary care physicians or medical specialists for consultation services when necessary for the well-being of the patients.
Document the patients’ visits including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.
Follow-up with patients regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases. Follow-up daily on laboratory tests and X-Rays

Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO with specialization in:
- Urgent Care
- Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)

Key Responsibilities
The physician will perform patient examinations, administer vaccinations, and conduct surgical procedures while documenting visits in the EMR. They are also responsible for advising patients on preventative health and coordinating follow-up care for laboratory and imaging results.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with specialization in Urgent Care, Emergency, Family, or Internal Medicine. An active Florida medical license and Board Certification or eligibility are required.
