Now Hiring Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist
Location: Sierra Tucson, Tucson, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time
Sierra Tucson is seeking an experienced Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist M. D. or D. O. to join our hospital-based psychiatric team. This role provides comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatients, including evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and treatment planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Since 1984, Sierra Tucson has been a nationally recognized leader in behavioral healthcare, providing treatment for adults struggling with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Overview
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through psychotherapy, medication management, hospitalization, and other evidence-based treatment modalities. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active Arizona medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
Summary
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred. Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate. Licenses/Certifications: Board certification in psychiatry Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
