We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Summary
The Psychiatrist is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with mental health disorders through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, hospitalization, and other evidence-based treatment modalities. The Psychiatrist will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
This role is critical in delivering comprehensive psychiatric services that focus on improving patient outcomes, promoting recovery, and enhancing overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders in adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate.
Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions when indicated.
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Participate in treatment team meetings and patient case reviews.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor patient progress and make treatment adjustments as needed.
Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Active Oklahoma medical license (or ability to obtain).
DEA registration or ability to obtain.
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Experience in inpatient behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
Board certification in psychiatry
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
