Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Trauma (Nights)

The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Managing trauma admissions, emergency general surgery cases, and facilitating inpatient care.
• Conducting thorough evaluations, formulating care plans, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Assisting trauma surgeons with various procedures, including resuscitation and operative support.
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensuring meticulous documentation and clinical workflows in Epic EMR.
• Practicing autonomously while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple complex tasks.
• Contributing to the ongoing quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service.
• Actively engaging in professional development and potential leadership opportunities.

Shift Description

• 12-hour overnight shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in PA Studies

• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days and active)

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado

• Eligibility for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status

• Clean malpractice and license history

Highly Preferred

• Absence of sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
