Locum - Physician Assistant Cardiovascular (Assist/CV Surgery)

Orientation Rate (7:30 AM - 5 PM)

• Standard Hourly Rate for shifts scheduled Monday through Friday.
• Overtime Pay applies for hours worked beyond the designated shift.
• Night Pager Fee (subject to determination and not guaranteed).
• 24-hour Weekend Call (Saturday/Sunday) includes up to 4 hours compensated free of charge per day (subject to determination and not guaranteed).
• Callback Rate applicable only when the locum provider is required to come into the hospital for patient consultations after gratis hours. Telephone consultations after hours that do not necessitate an on-site visit may be billed in 15-minute increments.

Shift Overview

• Standard Operations: Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
• Potential for weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call.

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with demonstrated experience in surgical first assisting,

Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH), perioperative patient care, and inpatient rounding. Preferred experience includes ECMO.

• Upon confirmation, the locum provider must comply with the following prerequisites: submission of vaccination records, a negative drug screening, and completion of a physical examination within 90 days prior to the start date.

Certification Prerequisites

• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Licensure Requirements

• Active Physicians Assistant License in Illinois is mandatory.

Additional Requirements

• Availability as requested is required.
• References must be provided according to Stratum's process.
• Clean candidates with straightforward credentialing histories are highly preferred.
