Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Intervention Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations for hospital patients.
- Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy (e. g., CBT, DBT, ACT) tailored to acute and chronic medical or psychiatric conditions.
- Deliver rapid crisis intervention and risk assessments (e. g., suicidal ideation, trauma) for patients in emergency or acute care units.
- Formulate clear, actionable treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses and psychological testing.
Requirements
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Consultation Consult with physicians, nurses, social workers, and rehabilitation therapists to integrate psychological insights into overall medical treatment plans.
- Participate in daily or weekly interdisciplinary grand rounds and patient care conferences.
- Provide education to medical staff regarding behavioral health trends, trauma-informed care, and patient compliance strategies.
- Documentation & Compliance Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA, hospital policies, and Joint Commission standards.
