Certified Nurse Midwife (Night Shift)

Join a collaborative and patient-centered team dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout the childbirth journey. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will deliver full-scope midwifery care to obstetrical patients in accordance with established protocols, supporting patients in the Obstetric Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum units. This position primarily covers nights and weekends and includes some holiday coverage, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during critical moments of care while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and compassionate patient outcomes.

Position Summary

Provides full scope midwifery care to obstetrical patients in accordance with approved midwifery protocols.

Position Key Accountabilities

• Coordinates, directs, and implements prenatal and postpartum care.
• Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
• Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
• Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
• Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient 's treatment plans and outcomes.
• Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.

Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient 's treatment.

• Educates nursing students, medical students, residents and other healthcare professionals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills

None

Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Nurse Practitioner (APRN-NP) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required or
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) required

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) may be obtained post-hire required or

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) may be obtained post-hire required

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

Physical Requirements

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
