Job Description
- Pediatric Hernia Repair: Surgical repair of a hernia in a child.
- Circumcision: Removal of the foreskin of the penis in newborns or older children.
- Congenital Heart Defect Surgery: Surgical correction of heart defects present at birth.
- Pediatric Appendectomy: Removal of the appendix in children diagnosed with appendicitis.
- Cleft Lip and Palate Repair: Surgical correction of clefts in the lip or palate in infants.
Key Responsibilities
The pediatrician is responsible for performing various surgical procedures on children, including hernia repairs, appendectomies, and congenital heart defect corrections. They also provide routine surgical care such as circumcisions and cleft lip and palate repairs.
