About the Role

Align Integrated Care PLLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our growing team in Sandston, VA. Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family substance abuse counseling sessions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients in recovery
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations for new clients
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, whole-person care
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Requirements

• Current Virginia CSAC (Certified Substance Abuse Counselor) certification or CSAC-A supervisee status
• Experience or strong interest in substance use disorder treatment and recovery support
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care
• Strong clinical documentation and case management skills
• Ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic boundaries with a diverse client population
• Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work collaboratively within an integrated care model
