Job Overview
A Per-Diem Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director & Clinic Administrator, will provide medical services to clients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical services. Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.
- Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions.
- Current licensure in the State of California.
- Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Previous experience with computer-based systems is required. Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
