Join Newport Mental Health as a Co-Occurring Therapist in Middletown, Rhode Island.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual substance use counseling to assigned clients in accordance with organization policy & procedures.
- Facilitate individual counseling sessions to address clients' substance use challenges, triggers, and coping strategies.
- Lead group therapy sessions focused on relapse prevention, life skills, and peer support.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and coworkers to ensure client needs are met.
Requirements
- WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU….
- Licensure at the independent practice level (LICSW) as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health preferred.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensures will also be considered.
- Minimum of two years of co-occurring clinical work experience.
