Essential Functions of the Role
As a Primary Care NP, you'll care for patients across the spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working closely with physicians and an experienced care team.
Your role will include:
Evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic conditions
Performing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations
Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies
Developing evidence-based treatment plans
Prescribing medications and managing chronic disease
Providing preventive care and health counseling
Educating patients and families about treatment, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
Coordinating specialty referrals and follow-up care
Performing procedures within your scope of practice
Participating in population health and quality-improvement initiatives

Required:
Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license
BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
DEA
Texas RN or RN compact from Nurse Licensure Compact
National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty
Ability to meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements

EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate and diagnose acute and chronic conditions while developing evidence-based treatment plans for patients. They will also coordinate specialty referrals, perform diagnostic studies, and provide ongoing preventive care and health counseling.
