Are you a clinical leader who believes that how someone is met in a moment of crisis matters as much as the help itself? Heritage Behavioral Health Center is looking for you.

About Heritage

Heritage Behavioral Health Center is a mission-driven Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) providing comprehensive, high-quality behavioral health services across Macon and DeWitt counties. We believe every person on our team, regardless of role, shapes the quality of care our clients receive. We take care of our staff so they can focus on taking care of the people we serve.

About the Role

Timely crisis care is one of the biggest needs in behavioral health, and Heritage is investing in a full continuum of community-based crisis response.

As Clinical Director of Crisis Services, you'll lead the program managers behind the services people turn to at their most vulnerable moments, for youth, adults, and families alike. You'll work closely with our Senior Clinical Director, who sets strategy, while you turn that vision into day-to-day reality. This is a chance to build something, not just maintain it.

Team size: Lead 4–5 program managers and approximately 60 staff.

Programs You'll Lead

  • Mobile Crisis Response Teams – Youth: Crisis teams that meet children, adolescents, and their families in homes, schools, and the community.
  • Mobile Crisis Response Teams – Adult: Crisis teams that bring compassionate, clinically informed care to adults wherever a crisis happens.
  • Crisis Call Center: 24/7 telephone and video crisis assessment, counseling, and dispatch, and the hub connecting people to the rest of our system.
  • Behavioral Health Urgent Care + Crisis Observation: A timely, low-barrier pathway for behavioral health needs, with short-term crisis observation and stabilization for people who need more time and support before returning home.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • $5,000 sign-on bonus (one-year commitment)
  • Every other Friday off as a paid wellness day, including for leadership
  • Paid clinical supervision, including supervision toward your LCSW or LCPC
  • Competitive salary aligned with state and national benchmarks
  • Loan forgiveness eligibility through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC)
  • Generous time off: vacation, sick, personal, and holiday leave
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with substantial agency contributions
  • 401(k) and Roth retirement options
  • Tuition assistance and continuing education support
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (healthcare and dependent care)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and fitness reimbursement
  • Additional life insurance options
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team where every role impacts client care
