Key Responsibilities

• The bereavement counselor may also assist in providing grief and loss services provided by hospice to the community-at-large for all age populations, including children.

• According to the agencies Notice of Privacy Practices and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of a Master’s program in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

• Current State of Michigan Social Work License (LMSW or LLMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC or LPC).

• Current driver’s license.

• Previous experience with grief and loss counseling preferred.
