Key Responsibilities
The Physician Associate Medical Director is responsible for managing patient symptoms, overseeing care plans, and ensuring the highest quality of life for hospice patients. They also lead interdisciplinary team meetings, supervise nurse practitioners, and maintain regulatory compliance in all clinical operations.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a medical degree (MD or DO) and a current, unencumbered license to practice in the assigned state. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for home visits, while board certification in hospice and palliative medicine is preferred.
