Key Responsibilities
The Hospice Nurse Practitioner will conduct face-to-face patient assessments, manage symptoms, and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary team. They are responsible for ordering diagnostic procedures, reviewing results with attending physicians, and communicating changes in patient condition.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license and have at least one year of experience as an NP or hospice RN. The role requires the ability to travel daily, proficiency in EMR systems, and knowledge of Medicare billing and regulatory requirements.
