About the Role

Join Scripps Health as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist – M-F Day Shifts in United States. This is a full time position with 8-hour day shifts, generally Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position, primarily located at Mercy San Diego in Hillcrest, but may require travel to other clinic locations (Torrey Pines, Carmel Valley, and/or Rancho Bernardo).

Key Responsibilities

of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist include: Assumes clinical leadership responsibilities for pharmacy and pharmacy practice in their area of specialization.

Provides collaborative pharmaceutical care with the respective specialized teams in identified patient care areas.

Reviews and evaluates individual drug orders for appropriateness, safety, and cost.

Work Schedule

Full-Time position.

Hybrid position - combination of remote and on-site.

Day shift only - no nights.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree, along with either a PGY1 and PGY2 residency in the specialty or equivalent experience (PGY1 plus 2 years' practice or 5 years' experience in the area). A California Pharmacist License, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications are required prior to code response training, and a Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification is needed within two years of hire.
