The Acute Care Clinical Pharmacist Specialist serves as a pharmacotherapy expert, designing and monitoring drug regimens to maximize therapeutic benefits and minimize toxicity. They also oversee pharmacy technician activities, coordinate clinical workflows, and provide drug information to the healthcare team and patients.
Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy and have completed a PGY1 residency, or possess at least 3 years of progressive health-system clinical pharmacy experience. Active board certification (e.g., BCPS, BCOP) is required or must be achieved within 24 months of hire.
