Job Description

About Lifeforce

We are in the early stages of a generational shift in how people approach their health. No longer satisfied with the reactive, fragmented care offered by the traditional healthcare system, millions of people are taking a more proactive approach. They want to understand how their bodies work, take control of how they feel and perform, and invest in living longer, healthier lives. Lifeforce is leading this shift as the world's largest longevity medicine program.

Founded alongside clinical and scientific leaders from Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, Lifeforce brings together the diagnostics, expertise, and treatments people need to understand and optimize their health, both today and for decades to come.

Our comprehensive program combines advanced diagnostics, expert clinicians, dedicated health coaches, and personalized supplement, pharmaceutical, and lifestyle protocols. All delivered from home, at the price of a gym membership.

Overview

Lifeforce is hiring a Clinical Quality Assurance Lead to run our clinical QA program. You'll manage the program day to day: auditing telehealth visits and chart notes, keeping reviewers calibrated, and turning what the audits show into scorecards, reporting, and recommendations that team leaders and clinical leadership can act on.

Our QA program runs on Rippit (formerly MaestroQA). You'll own the platform, including scorecard setup, review workflows, dashboards, and reporting. A big part of the job is finding where automation can take on volume, such as sampling, screening, flagging, and reporting, so reviewer time goes to the individual reviews that need clinical judgment. We want both: broader coverage through automation and careful, specific feedback on every individual review.

To start, this will be an individual contributor and program manager role: you'll run the program and do the reviews yourself. As the team grows, we expect it to take on direct reports. Our network includes 50+ physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across multiple states, and it's growing quickly. You'll work closely with the Medical Director, clinical leadership and operations, and the Clinical Onboarding & Training team.

Key Responsibilities

QA Program Management

  • Own the clinical QA program for all Lifeforce clinicians (physicians, NPs, and PAs), including review cadence, sampling approach, workflows, and program documentation.
  • Audit telehealth visits and chart notes against the Lifeforce Clinical Evaluation Form and clinical SOPs.

Produce monthly QA scorecards for every established clinician, rolled up quarterly and annually, and run targeted reviews triggered by member or partner complaints, missed standards, or safety concerns.

Escalate patient safety concerns to clinical leadership right away, including clinically inappropriate recommendations, documentation errors, and unaddressed member concerns.

  • Support ad hoc reporting and insights requests related to clinical QA
  • Rippit Ownership, Reporting & Insights
  • Act as owner and administrator of Rippit (formerly MaestroQA): scorecards, rubrics, review assignments, workflows, integrations, and user access.
  • Build and maintain QA reporting by clinician, visit type, membership type, and evaluation domain.

Give team leaders and clinical leadership the scorecard data and context they need to run service delivery and performance conversations with clinicians, and join some of those conversations when it's useful.

Identify trends in QA results and turn them into specific recommendations for the Medical Director, clinical leadership, and the Clinical Onboarding & Training team.

Keep Rippit as the system of record for all clinical QA data.

Automation

Identify and implement automation across the program, such as AI-assisted screening or scoring, risk-based sampling, automatic flagging of visits and charts that need a closer look, and automated reporting.

Validate automated outputs against human review before relying on them, and keep checking and improving accuracy over time.

Protect reviewer time for the reviews that need clinical judgment and individualized feedback.

Standards & Calibration

  • Maintain the Clinical Evaluation Form, keep it aligned with clinical SOPs, and set scoring benchmarks.
  • Write scoring anchors for each evaluation criterion so reviewers interpret it the same way.

Build and maintain a calibration library of recorded visits and sample charts. Calibrate every reviewer before they score live reviews, and run ongoing calibration sessions.

New Clinician Quality

  • Lead QA for newly onboarded clinicians, from mock appointments through early visit and chart reviews.
  • Decide when each new clinician is ready to move to the standard monthly scorecard cycle.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Work with the Clinical Onboarding & Training team to turn QA findings into targeted training and curriculum updates.

Flag gaps and inconsistencies in clinical SOPs (e. g. lipid management, cardiovascular imaging, peptide and hormone therapy protocols) and recommend updates to the Medical Director.

Apply a review approach consistent with the independent contractor relationship, evaluating clinicians against the standards set out in their agreements.

Partner with clinical leadership and People on documented follow-up when a quality

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days: get fully up to speed on Rippit and audit the current setup, build the calibration set and score a baseline, write anchors for every judgment-call item, take over new-clinician QA reviews, and run the first monthly scorecard cycle as a dry run.

In your first year: every established clinician will have a monthly scorecard on schedule, with quarterly and annual roll-ups that team leaders and clinical leadership use in performance conversations. Scores are consistent across reviewers, a meaningful share of review volume is screened or sampled through automation with accuracy checked against human review, QA reporting is driving SOP and training updates, and you've made a data-backed case for when the program needs additional reviewers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active, unrestricted MD, DO, NP or PA license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of clinical practice, including telehealth.
  • 2+ years in clinical quality work: chart audits, peer review, OPPE/FPPE, or clinical education.

Experience running a QA or audit program, including rubric-based review and keeping multiple reviewers consistent.

Hands-on experience administering a QA, audit, or review platform (Rippit, MaestroQA, or similar) and building reports in it.

  • Comfortable with data: tracking metrics, building reports, spotting trends, and explaining what they mean.
  • Working knowledge of, and interest in, preventive and metabolic care, including lipids and cardiovascular risk, hormone therapy, GLP-1s, and peptides.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Self-directed and effective in a fully remote environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in longevity, concierge, or preventive medicine.
  • Experience using automation or AI tools in a QA or audit workflow.
  • Experience with Healthie, Nabla, or similar EHR and AI scribe tools.
  • Training in motivational interviewing.
  • Experience growing a function from a team of one, including hiring and managing reviewers.

Traits for Success

Presents findings clearly and specifically enough that clinicians and their leaders take them seriously, including when the results are hard to hear.

Trusted by clinical and operations teams, and able to hold peers to a shared standard without formal authority.

  • Pairs findings with a recommendation rather than just reporting them.
  • Organized and process-minded, and good at building workflows that hold up as volume grows.
  • Keeps the member experience in mind when reviewing care.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
