About Milestone Treatment Center

Milestone Treatment Center provides compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Our multidisciplinary team works together to deliver individualized, person-centered treatment in an environment built on respect, dignity, and clinical excellence.

We're growing our clinical team and seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals working toward recovery and improved mental health.

About the Role

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) plays a key role in the psychiatric and medical care of our clients. You will provide direct clinical care while collaborating closely with therapists, case managers, medical providers, and support staff to deliver integrated behavioral health treatment.

This position is ideal for an APN who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team, values clinical autonomy, and is looking for the flexibility of an hourly/per diem opportunity while providing meaningful care to clients with complex behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments.
  • Provide ongoing medication management for clients receiving behavioral health treatment.
  • Prescribe psychotropic medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and within the provider's scope of practice.
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Evaluate client progress, treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when needed.
  • Perform appropriate physical assessments, examinations, and vital sign evaluations.
  • Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and laboratory results within scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments as clinically appropriate.

Educate clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, potential side effects, and preventive care.

Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and other providers to ensure continuity and coordination of care.

  • Participate in treatment-team meetings, case consultations, and clinical discussions.
  • Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
  • Follow all applicable HIPAA, confidentiality, prescribing, state, federal, and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license appropriate to the state of practice.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited advanced practice nursing program.
  • Appropriate national board certification based on specialty and scope of practice.
  • Current prescribing authority and required controlled-substance credentials, as applicable.
  • Experience providing psychiatric or behavioral health care strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and medication management.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to effectively manage complex client needs.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and clinical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an APN who combines strong clinical expertise with compassion and sound judgment. Our ideal provider takes the time to understand each client as an individual and recognizes that effective behavioral health treatment requires more than medication alone.

You'll thrive at Milestone if you value collaboration, clinical excellence, professional autonomy, and person-centered care and want your work to have a direct impact on individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges.

Why Join Milestone?

  • Flexible, hourly scheduling
  • Meaningful clinical work with individuals who can benefit directly from your expertise
