Pharmacist

Join Department of Veterans Affairs as a Pharmacist in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications while supporting safe, effective treatment plans across a broad range of patient care needs.

• Provide medication counseling and clinical education to patients and healthcare staff regarding dosage, interactions, side effects, and appropriate medication use.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to support medication management, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure continuity of care.

• Monitor medication therapies for safety, effectiveness, and compliance with pharmacy regulations, clinical protocols, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.

• Full unrestricted U. S. Pharmacist licensure required.

• Current BLS certification required.

• 3+ years of recent pharmacist experience, including at least 6 months within the last year.

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $170K - $196K
