Job Description

After Hours Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to provide comprehensive healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents. The PNP will evaluate patients, diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions, provide preventive care, and educate families on maintaining healthy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pediatric assessments, examinations, and health evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Provide preventive healthcare, immunizations, and developmental screenings.
  • Educate parents and caregivers regarding treatment, medications, nutrition, and child wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-C or PNP-BC).
  • Active state APRN/NP license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing and possess a current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-C or PNP-BC). An active state APRN/NP license and current CPR/BLS certification are also required.
