As a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll step in where you’re needed most, covering call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies across two OBGYN locations in western Massachusetts. If you’re self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable communicating by phone, this role was made for you.

The Role at a Glance

  • Experience: 0–1 year as an Ultrasound Technologist required, 1-2 years preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver an outstanding patient experience: Perform ultrasound exams and produce the images that guide diagnosis and treatment, while keeping every patient comfortable, informed, and respected.

  • Run your own space: Prepare and clean equipment and rooms, and restock supplies so your day flows smoothly.
  • Team up: Work with leadership to keep workflow and scanner use efficient, and help train staff and students.
  • Stay flexible: Join on-call, holiday, and flexible shift coverage as needed.
  • Make an impact beyond the exam room: Support departmental research, quality assurance, and improvement projects.

Qualifications

Education: A Diagnostic Imaging certificate/diploma or a Trade/Technical/Vocational diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required. An Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging is preferred. (Experience cannot be accepted in lieu of a degree.)

  • Experience: 0–1 year as an Ultrasound Technologist required, 1-2 preferred
  • Credentials (preferred): ARDMS Certified Sonographer, ARRT Sonography [R.T.(S)(ARRT)], or a state Radiologic Technologist license
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable with imaging systems, Electronic Health Records, reporting systems, and PACS
