Job Description

Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our growing practice in Key West, Florida, supporting Lower Keys Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to build your career while enjoying the laid-back lifestyle, natural beauty, and year-round outdoor recreation of the Florida Keys.

The position offers a balanced clinical mix averaging approximately 50% Interventional Radiology and 50% Diagnostic Radiology, depending on practice needs. IR procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, port placement, fluoroscopy, cholangiograms, joint injections, and lumbar punctures. Experience with breast imaging and procedures is a plus but not required.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with minimal weekend coverage for partnership-track physicians. No IR call or night coverage is required, offering an exceptional opportunity for work-life balance.

Lower Keys Medical Center is a 167-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving the Florida Keys below the Seven Mile Bridge. Located in Key West, this position puts you minutes from turquoise water, boating, fishing, diving, beautiful beaches, historic neighborhoods, incredible dining, and a lively arts and nightlife scene. Whether you prefer being on the water or simply ending the workday with a sunset, Key West offers a lifestyle that is hard to replicate elsewhere.

RAF offers a highly competitive compensation package along with an internal moonlighting program that gives radiologists the flexibility to earn additional income from home without committing to regular extra shifts. Benefits also include partnership-track opportunities, 10 weeks of PTO for partners plus holidays, 401(k), and malpractice plus tail insurance.

Local Practice and Community Overview

RAF is a leading radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling.

We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists.

Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.

Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa.

In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

Our diverse group of radiologists work and socialize together in our communities around Florida. Even between our communities across the state, we are one practice. We look forward to letting you get to know us better!
