Join Department of Veterans Affairs as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) – Behavioral Health in Toledo, Ohio. Provide behavioral health services that support treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery for individuals with complex clinical needs. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team while making a meaningful impact in a structured behavioral health environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and update individualized behavioral health treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.

• Conduct assessments, evaluations, admissions coordination, and crisis intervention within scope of practice.

• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, internal departments, community agencies, and external partners to support continuity of care.

• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, modify interventions, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Master's degree.

• Current BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Current active Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) license required and maintained in accordance with state continuing education requirements.

• Ability to work with patients who may have behavioral or psychiatric conditions and meet role-related physical requirements, including occasional lifting up to 60+ lbs.
