The occupational therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, establishing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and caregivers. They also supervise therapy assistants and students while ensuring documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. A valid Virginia State Occupational Therapy license or Compact Privilege is required.
