Key Responsibilities

The Hand Therapist provides direct patient care by conducting comprehensive evaluations and administering specialized rehabilitation treatments to restore function and reduce pain. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate medical documentation, selecting appropriate billing codes, and supervising support staff.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy program and possess a valid state license. Proficiency in fabricating upper extremity orthoses and experience with electronic medical records are required.
