Work Hours

Full Time, 40 hours a week. Monday Through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Physical Therapy Department Highlights

• Outpatient Department (mostly orthopedic), 1:1 hour long appointments

• Here’s What You Need
• Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Physical Therapy program is required
• Outpatient experience or New Grad with interest in Outpatient PT is strongly preferred
• PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire required And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

While majority of time will be in outpatient, candidate must have a willingness to work regularly in acute inpatient care as well (will be trained as needed).

What You Will Do

• Assist in approximately 1 hour acute care inpatient coverage as needed on days worked.
• Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
• Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness

Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.

Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home

• Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
• As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures
• Documents and reports unusual occurrences, on the job injuries, and medical device malfunctioning
