- Licenses: Active PA or IMLC
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Duties & Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical cases including general, ortho, urology, ophthalmology, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, vascular, podiatry, EP, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ECT procedures.
- Manage airway and ventilation, including mask ventilation, intubation, and extubation.
- Perform spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, regional blocks, and arterial line insertion as needed.
- Monitor patients during and after anesthesia, including evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues.
- Supervise CRNAs and ensure all overtime is approved by department administration.
Key Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical cases and manage patient airway and ventilation. Monitor patients during and after procedures while managing acute volume and blood pressure issues.
Requirements
Must hold an active PA or IMLC license and be Board Certified. Proficiency in spinal anesthesia is required, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
