Key Responsibilities
The pharmacist is responsible for the medication management of cardiology patients, including monitoring therapy, performing medication reconciliation, and providing patient education. They also contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, mentor residents and students, and provide expert pharmacy content for order sets and formularies.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and have completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, or possess three years of related specialty experience. A current pharmacy license in the state of practice is required, and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and PGY2 residency are preferred.
