Job description
Adelphi is seeking a qualified Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school physical therapy services in a school setting in San Antonio, Texas.
The ideal candidate will assist/provide direct and consultative physical therapy, student evaluations, and IEP-related goal-setting services to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student health, safety, and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current license to practice physical therapy in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist.
Responsibilities
- Assess students with physical disabilities and determine eligibility for physical therapy services.
- Plan and provide direct physical therapy services consistent with students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Provide consultative physical therapy services to support student participation in the educational program.
- Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of physical therapy services.
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to assist with assessment interpretation, placement, and goal setting.
- Provide training and in-service education to school personnel regarding physical therapy programs, body mechanics, student handling, positioning, and related topics.
- Consult with educational staff regarding specialized equipment, materials, and physical therapy needs.
- Coordinate with families, district personnel, outside agencies, therapists, and medical professionals regarding student physical and medical needs.
- Maintain accurate physical therapy records, reports, evaluations, and other required documentation while protecting confidentiality.
- Comply with federal and state requirements, State Board of Education rules, District policies, campus procedures, and applicable professional standards.
