Job Summary

The Dentist provides comprehensive, patient-centered dental care within an ambulatory care setting, supporting Hamilton Health Center’s mission to deliver accessible, high-quality services to the community. This role is responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical care delivery while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and excellence in patient outcomes.

Essential Functions

Clinical Care & Patient Management

* Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning

* Provide preventive, restorative, and basic surgical procedures within scope

* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

* Educate patients on oral health, treatment plans, and preventive care

Care Coordination & Team Collaboration

* Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care team members

* Refer patients to specialists as appropriate

* Support continuity of care across departments

Compliance & Quality Standards

* Adhere to infection control standards (ADA, OSHA, CDC guidelines)

* Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies

* Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited program

* Current or eligible Pennsylvania dental license

* Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

* CPR certification

* Eligible for credentialing and participation with payer programs

* FTCA eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a community health or FQHC setting

* Experience serving diverse and underserved populations

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
