Job Description
The Consultant Physician is responsible for leading and supervising the delivery
of high quality evidence-based care; effectively and efficiently diagnosing,
managing and treating all patients placed under the post holder’s care. The
Consultant Physician is expected to be an example of clinical excellence within
his or her specialty and to provide leadership and training for junior medical
staff.
Key Responsibilities
The Consultant Physician is primarily responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for all assigned patients. This includes effectively and efficiently diagnosing, managing, and treating these patients.
Requirements
Candidates must meet specific experience tiers, requiring a minimum of 2 years as a consultant or equivalent post-board certification (Tier 1) or 8 years total experience including fellowship training (Tier 2) in an accredited institute. Specific substitution rules apply for UAE Nationals based on clinical fellowship training.
