Executive Director of Nursing- JBH and FLH - Full Time - 1st Shift

The Executive Director of Nursing provides leadership and strategic direction for nursing units across the critical access hospitals. This position is accountable for nursing practice, clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, workforce planning, operational performance, and financial stewardship.

The role reports to the System Chief Nursing Officer and collaborates with critical access hospital administrator, medical staff, and nursing leaders to advance organizational goals and ensure coordinated, evidence-based patient care.

Working Conditions and Environmental Hazards

This position is subject to long work days, interrupted time off, weekends and irregular hours. Travel for meetings and educational programs are often required. Physical and mental stress is routinely experienced in order to meet commitments and deadlines. Although most work is carried out in an office/conference room setting, exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue is possible.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.

Patients, visitors, medical staff, Associates, trustees, volunteers, administrative staff, department heads, and the community at large.

Qualifications

Required:  Healthcare leadership experience

Preferred:  Director-level healthcare leadership experience
