Job Description
Job Summary
Under general direction the physical therapist shall evaluate and treat
patients, communicate with physicians and other health personnel, supervise
ancillary staff, and present in service education. The therapist is skilled and
trained in use and application of all P. T. modalities and procedures and is
required to follow the State Practice Act KRS.327. Demonstrates a commitment to
professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and
skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the
Organization. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by
demonstrating dependability in job performance. Exhibits the values of
F. I. R. S. T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Indoor department, clean and pleasant. Well lighted and ventilated. Forty
hour work week with holiday and weekend rotation. The task of this job involves
exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue. Moving and positioning also required
for patient treatments. Exposure to physical and mental anguish. Must be able
to move or position 25 lb. independently.

All ancillary departments, nursing, physicians.
Equipment USED/Special Skills Required
Computer skills.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 months exposure to related field to include successful completion
of clinicals.
