About Bethlehem Counseling Associates
Since 1986, Bethlehem Counseling Associates has served the Lehigh Valley as a trusted resource for compassionate, personalized mental health therapy.
BCA provides professional counseling services designed to support individuals, couples, children, teens, and families through different stages, challenges, and transitions in life.
At the center of the BCA experience is connection.
Mental health care is deeply personal, and finding the right therapeutic relationship matters. BCA combines the knowledge and resources of an established practice with an individualized approach that helps clients feel understood, supported, and connected to care that fits their unique needs.
As BCA continues to grow, its brand should reflect the same qualities clients experience through its care:
Warmth. Professionalism. Trust. Compassion. Knowledge. Connection. Hope.
Child Therapist – Independent Contractor (1099)
Bethlehem Counseling Associates | Bethlehem, PA
Are you a licensed therapist who loves working with children and families-but would rather spend your time providing therapy than worrying about billing, insurance companies, marketing, and administrative work?
Bethlehem Counseling Associates (BCA) is seeking an experienced, compassionate Child Therapist to join our established group practice as an independent contractor (1099).
For nearly 40 years, BCA has provided trusted mental health services to individuals and families throughout the Lehigh Valley. Our goal is simple: give excellent clinicians the independence of private practice without requiring them to manage all the stressful parts of running a practice.
Enjoy the Freedom of Independent Practice-Without Doing It Alone
As a 1099 contractor with BCA, you maintain significant autonomy and flexibility over your practice. You determine the hours and days you want to make available to see clients, allowing you to create a schedule that works for your professional and personal life.
Meanwhile, BCA provides the infrastructure and administrative support behind you.
We take care of:
Insurance credentialing and panel enrollment
Billing and insurance claims
Scheduling and administrative support
New client inquiries and intake coordination
Marketing and practice visibility
Office space and practice infrastructure
Collection of client payments
Administrative communication and support
You focus on what you do best: providing excellent clinical care.
Why Therapists Choose the 1099 Model
Independent contracting can offer clinicians a level of flexibility and autonomy that traditional employment often cannot. You have greater control over your schedule, your clinical work, and how you structure your professional life.
At BCA, you aren't expected to build a practice completely on your own. We provide the systems, administrative team, referrals, and operational support so you can enjoy the independence of private practice without having to run every aspect of a private practice yourself.
We're Looking For
We are especially interested in clinicians who:
Have experience and genuinely enjoy working with children and families
Are licensed or license-eligible to practice independently in Pennsylvania
Provide warm, engaging, evidence-based care
Value professional autonomy while enjoying being connected to a larger clinical community
Are dependable, collaborative, and committed to excellent client care
LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and Licensed Psychologists are encouraged to apply.
If you've considered private practice but don't want the burden of handling credentialing, billing, marketing, scheduling, and administrative operations yourself, BCA offers an opportunity to have the best of both worlds.
Interested in joining us? Apply today or contact Bethlehem Counseling Associates to learn more about becoming part of our clinical team.
This independent contractor position does not provide medical benefits and you will receive a 1099 at year end.
Apply today to take advantage of this exciting opportunity with high earning potential and the ability to grow your business. We look forward to an opportunity to meet you.
