Key Responsibilities
The Specialty Services Counselor coordinates all aspects of patient surgeries, including scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-operative testing. They also provide administrative support by managing patient records, collecting payments, and facilitating communication between patients and surgical facilities.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for a college degree and 2-5 years of experience in a medical or high-level customer service setting. Proficiency in ophthalmology or optometry practices and strong communication and organizational skills are highly desired.
