Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include

  • Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
  • Providing transfer training and instruction in safe mobility techniques
  • Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
  • Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist

Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team

Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements

  • Need to Have:
  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
  • Afternoon availability

  • Previous home care experience
  • Monday–Friday availability
  • Weekend availability
